Nikola Jokic Delivers Another Enormous Double-Double Friday

2 years agoDenver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic has made it commonplace to post gaudy stat lines throughout the 2021-22 season, with Friday's the latest to put his jaw-dropping talents on display. He had 38 points, 19 rebounds and eight assists, all while shooting 14-for-21 overall. The MVP candidate opened April right where he left off in March, when he averaged a season-high 29.9 points across 15 contests. Jokic's recent flurry of offensive production has put him on pace to set new career-highs in scoring (26.6 points per game) and field-goal percentage (58.1%), all while averaging nearly three more rebounds than last season when he won the MVP. He has been the engine that makes the Nuggets go on a nightly basis, which bodes well for his fantasy prospects over the final four games. He faces the Lakers on Sunday, whom he logged a triple-double against back on Jan. 15 in just 28 minutes.--Jesse Borek
