4 years agoDenver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic was named the Player of the Month for December/January on Tuesday, rewarding him for his enormously impressive start to the 2020-21 season. Through his first 20 games, Jokic has averaged 26.8 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 8.6 assists per contest, having compiled at least a double-double in every game thus far. With five triple-doubles under his belt, Jokic is arguably the favorite for the MVP Award through the early part of the year, shooting 57.4 percent overall. Fantasy managers who grabbed Jokic during the first round of season-long drafts are reaping the rewards with his next outing coming Thursday against the Lakers as he attempts to kick-off a second straight month of Player of the Month honors.--Jesse Borek
