Nikola Mirotic Being Held Out Until Trade Deadline Passes
7 years agoChicago Bulls power forward Nikola Mirotic will not play for Chicago before the trade deadline. Mirotic was rumored to have been traded to the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday, but the trade eventually fell through. The Bulls have opted to sit Mirotic for the near future while they try to find a suitor for his services. This rules him out at least until Feb. 9 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Paul Zipser is getting the start for Lauri Markkanen (personal) Wednesday night, but expect Bobby Portis to see a ton of run off the bench without Mirotic. Look for Portis in your DFS lineups Wednesday, and he can be added for increased short-term value in season-long leagues.
