Nikola Mirotic Drills Five Triples Off Bench
6 years agoMilwaukee Bucks power forward Nikola Mirotic matched his Bucks season high with five made threes during Saturday’s win over the Charlotte Hornets. The sharpshooter has seen his points per game average fall by nearly five points (16.7 points in New Orleans versus 11.8 points in Milwaukee) since landing with the Bucks, but he has continued to average better than 2.5 makes per contest. Bringing a dead eye shooter into the fold could be a boon for Milwaukee during the postseason, as it appears Mirotic is finding his groove with his new club. He next faces a San Antonio team Sunday that doesn’t guard the three well (bottom five in the league in opponents’ three-point percentage), which could see him firing at will from distance.
