7 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Nomar Mazara was scratched Tuesday due to flu-like symptoms. There did not appear to be huge amounts of concern for Mazara, who should be considered day-to-day for the time being. Mazara has been having an impressive season, with 14 home runs and a .265 batting average in 281 plate appearances. The young left-handed hitter is in the middle of his breakout season, and this latest illness should not affect him hugely. I fully expect to see Mazara back in the lineup by the weekend.--Ben Rolfe
