Nuggets Acquire Jarred Vanderbilt In Draft-Night Trade
7 years agoThe Denver Nuggets have traded for Kentucky forward Jarred Vanderbilt, the 41st pick in this year's NBA Draft. Vanderbilt missed 17 games last season for the Wildcats due to a combination of foot and ankle injuries, but he showed promise as a rebounder and passer during his time on the court. However, Vanderbilt's jump shot is a complete work in progress and his limited ability on the offensive end lowers his value in redraft formats. Expect Vanderbilt to spend a ton of time in the G-League and to see just spot-starter minutes for the Nuggets over the course of the season. If his shooting can become passable, he projects to join the Nuggets rotation in future seasons, but expecting that result right off the bat is just setting fantasy players up for disappointment.
