3 years agoAtlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies has six home runs over 27 games this year, which puts him on a strong 162-game pace of 36 home runs. However, there are some concerns in his underlying power metrics. He currently ranks in the bottom 3% of the league in hard-hit rate (21.8%) and his 86.6 mph average exit velocity ranks in the bottom 17% of the league. Last year, when he hit 30 home runs over 156 games, he had a career-best 37.2% hard-hit rate to go along with an average exit velocity of 89.6%. Albies hasn't homered since April 23 and he has just four doubles on the year. He has a lengthy track record of being a high-end fantasy asset, but his extra-base hits and underlying power metrics are worth monitoring going forward.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
