Patrick Beverley Traded To The Lakers

2 years agoUtah has traded guard Patrick Beverley to the Lakers in exchange for guard Talen Horton-Tucker. The 34-year-old is coming off a quality season, averaging 9.2 points, 4.6 assists, and 1.2 steals throughout 58 games with the Timberwolves. He was traded to the Jazz during the offseason in the deal that sent Rudy Gobert to Minnesota. However, Beverley didn't last long in Utah and will head back to L.A., a city where he played for four seasons with the Clippers. The veteran isn't a consistent fantasy producer despite being a well-known disruptor on the defensive end. He's expected to come off the bench behind Russell Westbrook this season. Yet, if Westbrook gets moved ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, Beverley may find himself in the starting lineup.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
