3 years agoAmerican golfer Patrick Cantlay finished 2021 with a flourish. He had four consecutive top-25 results culminating in wins at the BMW Championship and the Tour Championship. Cantlay had four wins overall on the season but it was that back-to-back that cemented his arrival. Now, the format at the Tour Championship helped Cantlay win but building that much of a cushion helped. The American golfer finished in the top-30 in all six major PGA golfing metrics. That included third in overall strokes gained at 1.82. Even his worst category was putting and his 0.402 strokes gained was more than respectable.
