5 years agoLos Angeles Angels pitcher Patrick Sandoval had the best start of his young career on Wednesday, pitching five scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and three walks while striking out a career-high nine. Sandoval has now made five starts in the majors, all this year, and has a 5.24 ERA and 1.48 WHIP. He's yet to go over five innings in a start, but has shown some promising strikeout potential with a 27.3% strikeout rate. Sandoval posted a lackluster 5.71 ERA and 1.74 WHIP across 20 appearances in Double-A and Triple-A this year, giving little hope for sustained success in the big leagues. He should remain on waivers in all leagues.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
