6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs forwards Pau Gasol (foot) and Rudy Gay (heel) will not play Wednesday night against the Miami Heat. Gay is battling a heel issue which has already caused him to miss a game and being ruled out a day in advance is not a good sign moving forward. This is the first reporting of Gasol's injury as it is being ruled as right foot soreness. The veteran Gasol is most likely receiving a day off in order to get his body right for the long season ahead. In Gay and Gasol's absences, Marco Belinelli, Davis Bertans and Dante Cunningham will all see expanded roles Wednesday.--Dale Johnson - RotoBaller
