4 years agoFree-agent center Pau Gasol is reportedly nearing a deal with Barcelona in order to prepare for the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo. Gasol has not played any basketball since May of 2019 due to a navicular stress fracture in his left foot. The last time he played in the NBA was during the 2018-2019 season with the San Antonio Spurs and Milwaukee Bucks. The 40-year-old big man wants to play in one final Olympics for Spain. Gasol is no doubt a future Hall of Famer, but it doesn't appear he has drawn much interest for the upcoming NBA restart in Orlando. Gasol mentioned a few months ago that he'd like to play for the Los Angeles Lakers again, but it's unclear if that'll actually happen.
