6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs center Pau Gasol will remain out indefinitely due to a stress fracture in his right foot, head coach Gregg Popovich confirmed. Gasol hasn’t appeared in a game since Nov. 4, having missed the last 11 contests for San Antonio. In his place, Jakob Poeltl has seen minutes off the bench, but it’s largely forced LaMarcus Aldridge to take on a larger role as the team’s de facto center. If you were saving Gasol on injured reserve, this certainly isn’t positive news, as the Spurs are unaware of when he may return.--Jesse Borek
