2 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Paul Blackburn (finger) will be shut down for the remainder of the 2022 season, according to A's manager Mark Kotsay. The right-hander is dealing with inflammation in the middle finger of his pitching hand. He landed on the injured list about a week ago. He met with a specialist on Monday and the diagnosis from the specialist is what led to the decision to shut Blackburn down. The 28-year-old had the best season of his career in 2022.
