Paul Casey Plays Steady Golf at U.S. Open
7 years agoPaul Casey fired rounds of 73 on each of Thursday, Friday and Saturday before a final-round 71 propelled him to a T16 finish at this year's U.S. Open. His 73 on Saturday was one of the day's best rounds, as the conditions at Shinnecock Hills were borderline unplayable. Casey appears to be fully recovered from his earlier back injury and now heads to the Travelers Championship. He finished fifth here a year ago and should be one of the favorites in a field somewhat limited in talent.
