Paul George Delivers Relatively Quiet Performance
6 years agoOklahoma City Thunder small forward Paul George finished Sunday’s loss to the Washington Wizards with 20 points, five assists and four rebounds, his lowest scoring output in a month. George has spoiled Thunder fans and fantasy owners alike, having gone for at least 20 points in 14 consecutive games. His 7-for-18 overall shooting performance Sunday was also a lull, although he did manage to knock down three more triples, giving him 18 straight games with multiple threes made. On pace for career highs in scoring (26.8), rebounds (8.0) and steals (2.2) per game, George has firmly inserted himself to the front of the MVP discussion, becoming one of the most trusted fantasy commodities on a nightly basis. He looks to bounce back Tuesday versus Minnesota, whom he scorched for 31 points and 12 rebounds on Dec. 23.
