Paul George Drops 29-Point Double-Double In Defeat
6 years agoOklahoma City Thunder small/power forward Paul George put up 29 points and 13 rebounds during Saturday’s loss to the Golden State Warriors, but once again scuffled from the field overall, shooting 9-for-25, including 4-for-12 from deep. Since returning from a shoulder injury that cost him three contests, George has done a great job of getting to the free-throw line by attempting 10 from the stripe per game, but has shot just 36.2 percent from the floor. He is still bumping up his season averages on a nearly nightly basis, still leading the league with 2.2 steals per game, while on pace for new career highs in points (28.3), rebounds (8.2) and assists (4.3) per contest. With Russell Westbrook likely suspended for Monday's game against the Miami Heat, George presents one of the premier plays on the slate.
