Paul George Exits Early After Just 14 Minutes Versus Boston
5 years agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Paul George (hamstring) managed just 14 minutes of action against the Boston Celtics on Thursday before exiting the game with a left hamstring strain, finishing with just four points on two of seven shooting. If there is ever an ideal time to sustain an injury, PG could've done a lot worse than right before some time off for the All-Star break. Unfortunately for George and the Clippers, this was his third hamstring strain of the season. That these injuries have come amidst George's fewest minutes per game since his sophomore season is even more alarming. We'll likely know more about George's status when the Clippers play again on Feb. 22, but this should only cause head coach Doc Rivers to be more cautious with his star wing as the playoffs inch closer, an unfortunate turn of events for those hoping for a flip of George's switch to finish off the regular season strong.
