6 years agoOklahoma City Thunder small forward Paul George will be on the sidelines for Friday’s contest against the Phoenix Suns due to a right quad contusion. The absence will be George’s first of the season, leaving Russell Westbrook likely to pick up the lion’s share of the load, with Hamidou Diallo and Dennis Schroder potentially seeing an uptick in role as well. Alex Abrines has also been ruled out due to illness, with the next chance for both players to suit up coming Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks.--Jesse Borek
