Paul George Torches Magic With 39-Point Outing
6 years agoOklahoma City Thunder small forward Paul George remained staggeringly locked in during Tuesday’s victory over the Orlando Magic, finishing with 39 points on 9-for-26 shooting, knocking down six threes and going 15-for-16 from the free-throw line. The performance marks George’s fifth straight game with more than 35 points, moving him up to fourth in the league at 28 points per game this season. He also added three steals to keep a stranglehold on the league’s top spot in steals per contest (2.3), just in front of teammate Russell Westbrook. George will face a staunch challenge Thursday against the Memphis Grizzlies, who are allowing the fewest points per game (103.4) this season while playing at a snail-like pace.
