5 years agoDenver Nuggets power forward Paul Millsap reeled off his fifth consecutive game scoring in double figures during Thursday’s win over the Brooklyn Nets, finishing with a team-high-tying 18 points to go along with nine rebounds. In just 27 minutes, the veteran added a pair of made threes and two assists, once again reeling off multi-category contributions following his slow start to the year. It’s unlikely that Millsap will be the team’s offensive focus for many games moving forward, but his ability to still put up numbers will be invaluable for owners who seek consistency, even as it comes with very little flash. He looks to flip the script Sunday versus a Memphis team that held him to a combined 1-for-12 shooting across a pair of matchups last season.--Jesse Borek
