Paul Sewald Falters In Eighth-Inning Appearance
3 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Paul Sewald allowed two solo home runs on Monday night, one each to Xander Bogaerts and Rafael Devers in a 5-4 victory. He was still credited for a hold with his inning of work, despite the rough outing. Sewald entered for the eighth inning in this contest, presumably to face the middle of the Boston order. He now has a 6.75 ERA with just one save in his last seven appearances. Drew Steckenrider relieved Sewald and earned the save. Sewald is still the man to roster in the Seattle pen, but fantasy managers should keep their eyes on this situation in the coming days.
