Paul Sewald Secures Fifth Save On Thursday
3 years agoSeattle Mariners pitcher Paul Sewald struck out one across a scoreless inning to earn the save during Thursday's 2-1 win over the Oakland Athletics. He entered the game in the ninth inning to protect a one-run lead. The 32-year-old needed just 11 pitches to notch his fifth save of the year. He owns a 2.81 ERA, 0.78 WHIP, and 25:7 K: BB across 24 2/3 innings in 2022. Seattle continues to use a committee as Sewald shares save changes with Diego Castillo and recently activated Ken Giles. Fantasy managers should continue to roll with Sewald as he racked up five saves and four holds over 26 appearances in 2022.
