Pete Alonso Hammers Two Homers
3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso provided all the offense Friday, homering twice and driving in three runs in four at-bats against the Toronto Blue Jays. The two home runs, his 20th and 21st of the season, came off of starter Steven Matz and reliever Ryan Borucki. Alonso has been excellent over his last 30 games, slashing .288/.347/.622 with 11 homers and 22 RBI in that span. He now has an .849 OPS with 45 runs and 56 RBI on the season, delivering on the promise that led him to be a top draft choice for fantasy managers this spring.
