Pete Alonso Leading Majors With 66 RBI
3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts in the team's 5-3 loss to the Houston Astros on Wednesday. However, he managed to drive in a run in the game, increasing his season-long RBI total to 66. Alonso leads the majors in RBI with Jose Ramirez (62) and Paul Goldschmidt (60) right behind him. The 27-year-old slugger is slashing .282/.361/.552 on the season with 20 home runs and 43 runs over 70 games. He currently has a career-best .586 xSLG, which ranks in the 92nd percentile of the league.
