4 years agoThe Philadelphia 76ers have moved on from point/shooting guard Dakota Mathias, waiving him Monday. Mathias appeared in eight games with the Sixers this season, including two starts in which he had massive minutes allotments while the team dealt with contact tracing issues. Having been on a two-way contract, Mathias' release indicates that the team could be anticipating adding a new face to its roster. An undrafted free agent who previously played in Spain, Mathias' next move isn't immediately clear, but he figures to have an uphill path to fantasy relevance again this season.--Jesse Borek
