3 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (ankle) has earned a questionable designation for Monday's contest against the Celtics as he battles a sore right ankle. Embiid has played in eight of nine possible December outings thus far, averaging 26.3 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 4.8 assists in that stretch. With Andre Drummond (health and safety protocols) unavailable, Philly could be in dire straits in the frontcourt if Embiid is unavailable, with Charles Bassey and Paul Reed as the best bets to fill in. If the three-time All-NBA performer is cleared, he should have a whopping workload heading his way as numerous Sixers have either already been ruled out or face another absence for the divisional matchup.--Jesse Borek
