PJ Dozier Sustains Torn ACL, Out For Rest Of The Year
3 years agoDenver Nuggets shooting guard PJ Dozier (knee) has been confirmed to have sustained a torn left ACL, an injury that will sideline him for the remainder of the 2021-22 season. Dozier appeared in 18 games for Denver this year and he struggled from the field to the tune of shooting 36.4 percent overall, while averaging 5.4 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest. Dozier's absence in the backcourt and on the wing paves the way for Austin Rivers and Bones Hyland to enjoy elevated roles for the time being. The Nuggets have been high on Dozier's upside, but he remains a ways off from becoming a fantasy contributor. He can remain on the waiver wire in all formats, particularly while he is on the comeback trail.
