Quinn Cook Leads Warriors To Win
7 years agoGolden State Warriors guard Quinn Cook led his team to a 124-109 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Saturday. Cook got the start in favor of guard Stephen Curry (ankle) and took advantage of the opportunity, scoring 28 points on the night on an efficient 11-for-17 from the field and 5-for-7 from deep. He also had four boards, four assists and a couple of steals. Though he lacked luster when starting alongside forward Kevin Durant (ribs) and Klay Thompson (thumb), their respective absences opened the door for an increase in the journeyman’s production, averaging 26.5 points over the last two games. With the aforementioned Curry, Durant and Thompson out of the picture for the time being, Cook will have ample opportunity to contribute moving forward. If you haven’t picked him up, now is the time to do so, at least until one of those players returns.
