Raiders Decline Options On Josh Jacobs, Johnathan Abram
3 years agoThe Las Vegas Raiders declined the fifth-year options on running back Josh Jacobs, safety Johnathan Abram and defensive end Clelin Ferrell on Friday. Jacobs had over 1,000 rushing yards in each of his first two seasons after he was taken with the 24th overall selection in 2019 and was a Pro Bowler in 2020, but he has yet to play a full season in the NFL and has had plenty of ups and downs. The 24-year-old was a top-10 fantasy back down the stretch last year, but mainly because Kenyan Drake was sidelined due to injury. With Drake coming back healthy this year and with the Raiders potentially taking another RB in the draft, Jacobs will be better off being taken as an RB2 in fantasy drafts.
