Raiders To Release Kenyan Drake
2 years agoThe Raiders plan to release running back Kenyan Drake, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The 28-year-old played 12 games for Vegas last season, finishing with 63 carries for 254 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 30 catches (40 targets) for 291 yards and an additional trip to the end zone. Once things are finalized, Drake has a strong chance to find employment elsewhere relatively soon, especially since he's a proven pass-catcher out of the backfield. Although that won't make the 28-year-old an everyday fantasy option, he could earn streaming consideration sometime in 2022-23. Nevertheless, Josh Jacobs should benefit with Drake no longer in the picture. However, it could also mean more work for rookie Zamir White, who may take over as the starter if Jacobs goes down with an injury or fails to produce during the year.
