Rajon Rondo Could Return During Playoffs
4 years agoLos Angeles Lakers guard Rajon Rondo (thumb) was forced to leave Sunday's practice early after suffering an injury. He will undergo thumb surgery and could return at some point during the playoffs. Rondo is likely going to miss around six-to-eight weeks of action. Alex Caruso, Dion Waiters, and J.R. Smith will be asked to step up in the absence of Rondo. The Lakers are confident that Rondo will be able to contribute again this season. It'll be a significant blow to the Lakers if he's unable to play during the postseason. Caruso might end up benefiting the most, but it depends on what Frank Vogel does with his rotations.
