6 years agoLos Angeles Lakers point guard Rajon Rondo must have been feeling it from long range during Friday’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks because the point guard jacked up 12 shots from deep, smashing his previous single game record during his 13-year NBA career. Rondo logged 40 minutes during his start, scoring a season-high 20 points while shooting 7-for-19 overall. He nearly logged a triple-double by adding nine assists and eight rebounds, but this contest will be remembered for his sudden affinity to shooting from three-point land. His previous single game high had been seven shots from beyond the arc, but with the opportunities presenting themselves, Rondo didn’t hesitate. We’ll see if this is a new trend for the Lakers’ point guard when he faces the malleable defense of the Phoenix Suns on Saturday.--Jesse Borek
