Reid Detmers Records First 2022 Win

2 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Reid Detmers picked up his first win of the season on Thursday as his club defeated the Guardians 4-1. The 22-year-old allowed one run on two hits and four walks with his only blemish coming off an Austin Hedges home run in the fifth as he struck out four in the 88-pitch outing. Detmers got off to a shaky start to his 2022 campaign, but he's allowed three earned runs combined over his last two starts as he currently sits with a 5.19 ERA, and 1.10 WHIP with 16 K through 17 1/3 IP. As a top pitching prospect he should be rostered in most formats, but managers may want to pick and choose his starts wisely especially with a road date with the Red Sox upcoming next week.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
