Caris LeVert and a 2022 second-round pick (via Miami) to the Cavaliers. In exchange, Cleveland will be sending
Ricky Rubio (knee), a 2022 first-round pick (lottery-protected), a 2022 second-round pick (via Houston), and a 2027 second-round pick (via Utah) back to Indiana. After
Collin Sexton (knee) was lost for the year, Rubio was instrumental in the Cavaliers' success. He averaged career-high 13.1 points (tied) to go along with 6.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.4 steals. However, a torn ACL also ended his year. Nonetheless, Rubio still has some gas left in the tank. Yet, it's unknown where he will land during the 2022-23 campaign, but he is expected to remain relevant on the fantasy end, at least for a few more seasons.

Ricky Rubio (knee) has been diagnosed with a torn ACL in his left knee, ending his 2021-22 season, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Rubio sustained the injury during Tuesday's game, which was arguably his best of the season, delivering 27 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists. The loss of Rubio deals a further blow to the Cleveland backcourt, which has already been without
Collin Sexton (knee), who will miss the remainder of the year, and is currently down
Darius Garland (health and safety protocols) as well. Some combination of
Kevin Pangos,
RJ Nembhard Jr., and Malik Newman is likely to take over PG duties, while
Isaac Okoro and
Denzel Valentine have short-term assists upside. Rubio is set to become an unrestricted free agent at season's end.

Ricky Rubio (knee) was injured during Tuesday's matchup against the Pelicans. Rubio was having a fantastic evening before succumbing to the ailment, finishing with 27 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists. He will have an MRI on his left knee on Wednesday, but fantasy managers should at least expect him to miss Thursday's meeting with the Washington Wizards, although his absence could be much longer. With the team down
Darius Garland,
Cedi Osman, and
Jarrett Allen because of COVID-19 health and safety protocols,
Isaac Okoro and
Kevin Pangos may handle the ball-handling duties for the next game or so until Garland or Osman can make it back.

Ricky Rubio was the top scorer in Monday's slow-burning 98-92 loss to Boston, shooting 9-for-20 from the field en route to 28 points. He nailed half of his eight attempts from deep and shot 6-for-7 at the foul line while tallying six rebounds and two assists in 37 minutes. Rubio has picked up extra minutes with
Collin Sexton (knee) out, but the Spaniard was already demonstrated good form prior to Sexton's injury and the 31-year-old is on his way to having a very good bounce-back season. Rubio is averaging close to 15 points for the season with 3.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists. He's now starting a very tough run of games, which will really test his improved form. The Cavs face Brooklyn twice in their next three games, with a matchup against Golden State in between, and they also face the Suns.
