3 years agoNew York Knicks small forward RJ Barrett (illness) will not be available to check back in during Tuesday's contest against Brooklyn due to an illness. Barrett was questionable to play coming into the day before being cleared, but his symptoms appear not to have subsided after logging nine minutes in the first half. In that stretch, Barrett collected four points, four rebounds, and one assist. The immediate beneficiaries are likely to be Derrick Rose and Immanuel Quickley, who could log additional second-half minutes, but a prolonged absence would funnel more offensive usage in the direction of Alec Burks and Evan Fournier. Barrett's next chance to suit up comes Thursday vs. the Bulls.--Jesse Borek
