Robbie Ray Limits A's To One Run Over Six Innings
3 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Robbie Ray had a solid outing against the Oakland Athletics on Thursday. He pitched six innings and allowed four hits, two walks and one earned run while striking out six. Unfortunately, he wound up with a no decision in the game. Ray has now posted three straight quality starts, allowing just two earned runs across 20 innings over those three starts. The reigning AL Cy Young winner has labored through the year overall, pitching to a 4.07 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP while going 6-6. However, this recent stretch suggests that he may be turning a corner. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start against the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday.
