5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves forward Robert Covington tallied 19 points, eight rebounds, two triples, two blocks, and an assist in a 105-104 win over the Sacramento Kings. A season-high 40 minutes, thanks to two overtime periods, allowed Covington to haul up a season-high 19 shots. It appears his issues with the team are over, after being late to practice and seeing a minutes reduction. Hopefully, this performance will help him to turn the corner after a brutal seven-game stretch. Covington and the Timberwolves will get a Saturday night matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers, one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA.--Tim Capurso
