6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves small/power forward Robert Covington will be unable to suit up for Friday’s game versus the Orlando Magic due to knee and ankle soreness. Josh Okogie drew the start in his place Wednesday, but was far from a home run in terms of production. Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns mostly absorbed Covington’s shots, with both safe bets to see another hefty dose should Jeff Teague (questionable) and Derrick Rose (doubtful) remain out as well. Covington’s next chance to take the floor comes Sunday versus the Los Angeles Lakers.--Jesse Borek
