5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves small/power forward Robert Covington has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Phoenix Suns due to personal reasons. Covington, who has started all 15 of Minnesota’s games this season, has scored in double figures in each of his six previous contests. With Jake Layman also absent, the Timberwolves will be scrambling at the power forward spot with Gorgui Dieng and Treveon Graham as the likely candidates to see a slight uptick in minutes. Covington’s next chance to return to action comes Monday versus Atlanta.--Jesse Borek
