Robert Stock Walks Six In Loss
4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Robert Stock struggled in his first big league start versus the New York Mets on Wednesday. Stock went four innings and allowed four hits, five runs, six walks and struck out three. Stock got the spot start with starting pitcher Adbert Alzolay (blister) on the 10-day injured list. Alzolay is expected to be activated in time for what would be Stock's next turn in the rotation and that makes it likely that Stock is headed back to Triple-A Iowa before the night is over. Even if he stays on the active roster, Stock should be ignored in all formats.
