Robert Williams III, Marcus Smart Will Miss Monday’s Game
3 years agoBoston Celtics center Robert Williams III (knee) and point guard Marcus Smart (illness) have been ruled out for Monday's contest against the Thunder. Williams is listed as absent due to right patellar tendinopathy, an ominous designation, although it does come on the second leg of a back-to-back. In addition to being a stalwart of the Boston defense, Williams has shot a whopping 80.4% overall from the field during nine March outings. Daniel Theis is in line for elevated minutes and should be a buy-low DFS candidate. The same can be said for Derrick White and Payton Pritchard, both of whom should carry heavier workloads without Smart in the backcourt. The next chance for Williams or Smart to return to action comes Wednesday vs. Utah.
