4 years agoHouston Rockets center DeMarcus Cousins has been released by the organization one week after having his contract guaranteed through the rest of the season. An odd decision by the team, but they likely want to go with a small-ball strategy going forward. It's unclear how much value Cousins will have on the open market. His fantasy value depends on where he signs, but it might be difficult for him to carve out a role in standard leagues. It's tough to predict who is going to benefit the most without Cousins on the roster. Jae'sean Tate, Danuel House, and David Nwaba should all see increased role.
