6 years agoBrooklyn Nets small forward Rodions Kurucs was far from bashful in his time on the floor Monday, scoring 12 points on six of 10 shooting in just 14 minutes during the loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 20-year-old Latvian was a second-round selection, appearing in just his ninth game of the season, but that didn’t seem to faze the rookie, who also added four rebounds. With Brooklyn off to a sluggish start, Kurucs is a name to keep in mind as he has shown a willingness to shoot and an ability to score early on in his career.--Jesse Borek
