6 years agoCleveland Cavaliers shooting guard/small forward Rodney Hood has played pretty well in January, albeit he has appeared in just five games. The 26-year-old pumped in 20 points on 7-for-15 shooting from the field, including 0-for-2 from the three-point line, and 6-for-6 from the charity stripe in 26 minutes in the loss to the Trail Blazers. He also had four rebounds and two assists in the game. The fifth-year pro is averaging 13.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.2 three-pointers as he is shooting 46.9 percent from the floor and 40 percent from long distance. However, he has missed eight of his last nine attempts from beyond the arc. Hood and the Cavs have a tough matchup against the Jazz on Friday. The Duke product tallied 12 points and grabbed five rebounds in the first meeting this year versus Utah.--Daniel Benjamin
