6 years agoMiami Heat guard Rodney McGruder got the starting nod and finished with 12 points over 24 minutes in Tuesday's loss to the Charlotte Hornets. Though he shot an mediocre 3-for-7 from the field, he made up for it by going 2-for-3 from behind the three-point line and accruing a steal and a block. With guard Dion Waiters (ankle) and forward James Johnson (hernia) both out of the equation, at least for the time being, McGruder has a chance to get in some minutes, potentially playing each game as a member of the starting unit until the aforementioned players are healthy.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
