Rougned Odor Expected To Rejoin Lineup During Weekend
4 years agoTexas Rangers manager Chris Woodward said Thursday that he hoped to have second baseman Rougned Odor back in the fold either Friday or Saturday against the Angels. Odor was absent from Thursday’s lineup, marking four consecutive games that he has been sidelined due to a right oblique strain. Even as Odor has gotten off to a 3-for-24 start with nine strikeouts, the Rangers believe him to be a major cog in their order. Owners who are penalized for punchouts may want to consider Odor with trepidation, but those in need of his home run pop could venture out and hope that he catches fire. Rookie Nick Solak, who has been Odor’s primary replacement, has scuffled at the dish overall, but has reached base in seven of his first nine games.
