4 years agoTexas Rangers infielder Rougned Odor's spot on the opening day roster is not a guarantee. Manager Chris Woodward was asked about the infielder's status on Sunday and he declined to confirm that Odor's inclusion on the team was guaranteed. With Nick Solak earmarked for second base this year, it was expected that the second base incumbent was going to assume regular duties at the hot corner. And that could still be the case but Odor is coming off a dreadful 2020 in which he hit just .167 and produced a wRC+ of 60. He's been a well-below-average MLB hitter for four seasons now but still has two years remaining on a six-year, $49.5M contract signed prior to 2017.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
