4 years agoTexas Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor will not be on the Opening Day roster for Texas, and is expected to either be traded or designated for assignment, according to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News. Odor has been an all or nothing player for most of his career, averaging 28 home runs and 150 strikeouts per year from 2016 through 2019. Last season, Odor set career-lows with a .167 average, .623 OPS and a 31.8 percent strikeout rate, and he didn't show any signs of improvement this spring. With Odor out, this paves the way for Nick Solak to be Rangers' second baseman going forward.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
