6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs small/power forward Rudy Gay came off the bench for the third consecutive game during Saturday’s win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, collecting 22 points and eight rebounds in 26 minutes. After an offensive clunker Wednesday in which he failed to make a shot from the field, Gay went 9-for-16 against the Thunder, finding his offensive level again. He next faces the Denver Nuggets on Monday, and despite having gotten his mojo back, will face a defensive unit that has kept him to single-digit scoring performances in each of the team’s two prior meetings this season.--Jesse Borek
